The world in monochrome

Sometimes, colour gets in the way of the story I want to tell. Monochrome lets me focus on composition, mood, and simplicity — it brings a kind of calm that suits certain images. Some shots, I know right away they’ll work best in black and white. Others surprise me later, when I’m editing and suddenly see the image differently. For me, it’s about stripping things back so what’s left can speak more clearly.
