When we first moved to London, I didn't realise how much green spaces were an important part of this city. Clissold Park has been near my last three homes for more than 10 years. I often call it my happy place. I walk here almost everyday. In my view, it is one of the most beautiful parks.
When I started to take photography more seriously, I was constantly drawn to this one tree. Capturing it in different seasons, different light, different contexts. Earlier this year, it died. And then it was cut down. Since then, I have felt its absence in the park. I tried to find another tree that had the same impact on me, but have not yet succeeded. This project is a recognition of the tree that has been my muse for many years, helping me grow as a photographer, and making this park feel like home.
